Friendly dogs and their owners are invited to the Spring Bully Walk on Sunday in Woodward Park to raise money for Fresno Bully Rescue, an organization dedicated to rescuing bully breeds like the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier and the English Bulldog.

Registration, which costs $15 for humans (dogs are free), starts at 8 a.m. followed by a 2-mile walk at 9 a.m.

The theme this year is Bully BOARD Walk, with special guest Boss, the surfing pit bull who rose to fame on the reality TV show “Pit Bulls and Parolees.”

The Leap of Faith Flyball Team, based in Clovis, will perform the fast-paced relay sport for participants.

Fresno Bully Rescue was founded in 2008 as the largest no-kill, breed-specific shelter facility in California. It continues to serve as a beacon of hope, as well as an outlet for educating the community on bully breeds.
