Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center to host fun-filled Bark Bash on Saturday, May 7
Looking for something to fun to do with your doggie?
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center will have plenty of activities set up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the inaugural Bark Bash held in park adjacent to the center.
Four-legged friends can enjoy games and activities such as jumping through tires and bobbing for tennis balls, said event coordinator Erin Ford-Horio.
“We’ll also have a doggie kissing booth, so people can bring their dogs and we’ll take photos for them,” she said. “We’re going to have a toy-making station for kids as well, to get them involved. The can make some braided toys with fabric.”
A treat and bone bar will also be set up for canines, as well as barbecued hot dogs for human attendees, Ford-Horio said.
Mutts in Motion will do a flyball demonstration at the free event, Ford-Horio said.
“That’s a fun thing for people to watch. Those dogs always amaze me, she said.
Dog toys will be raffled at the event. The address is 85 N. Temperance Ave., near Sierra Avenue.
