Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of April 18: Donny
Donny is what you’d call the “fun sized” one in his group of friends. He’s smaller than all the rest, but that doesn’t bother this little Corgi/Staffordshire Terrier blend one bit! He’s made friends with dogs of every size and shape that we have; chihuahuas, terriers, Labradors, pit bulls and plenty of others. He would love to find a home where he can play with some canine friends all day.
Donny is one energetic dude and loves to also get his love and pets, too. It can take some time for him to meet new people, so he needs some patience and understanding when meeting new human friends. Doggie friends don’t take him much time at all, however, and his favorite game is “chase.” He will run after his friends, or goad them into running after him around our big yard. He’s come out of his shell, and has learned that the leash is a really awesome thing – he loves to go for walks.
At 2 years old, Donny has a lot of life and fun to share with a new family. He’s looking to be snuggled, and loved, and most of all, played with! Donny is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and is just waiting to meet the family he can make happy with his quirky smile and happy demeanor.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
