Tickets on sale for Old Town Clovis Wine Walk
Get your taste buds ready and call your designated driver. The Old Town Clovis Wine Walk is set for 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
The biannual event draws about 1,200 each Spring and Fall to the streets and shops of Old Town Clovis, where attendees enjoy wine and food tastings from a variety of wineries and local restaurants.
Pre-sale tickets are $35 and include a commemorative wine glass from Bank of the Sierra and a punch card for more than a dozen wineries spread throughout Old Town. Tickets sold the day of the event will cost $45. Designated drivers may pay $10 for a food tasting-only wristband.
A wine shop set up at the corner of 5th and Pollasky will sell bottles and cases of vino from participating wineries.
Each year, more Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo-based wineries participate, said Carole Lester, executive director of the Business Organization of Old Town (B.O.O.T.), which organizes the event.
Participants on April 30 include Cass, Vina Robles, Summerwood, Peachy Canyon, Derby, Wild Horse, Pear Valley, Burbank Ranch, Morovino and Tablas Creek wineries. Local participants include Farmer’s Fury, Toca Madera, Ramos Torres, Cardella, and Kings River wineries, Lester said.
Food will be provided by local restaurants and the Institute of Technology. Live music will be provided by Morgan Canyon Band.
