Dimitri isn’t willing to let life get him down. This petite spaniel/terrier blend hit a bit of a rough patch recently, and arrived at our Animal Receiving & Care Center with a dislocated hip — most likely from being hit by a car. Soon after arriving, Dimitri underwent surgery to improve his hip and is learning to once again use his leg.
He can run and play with his little dog buddies and he adores kids! Dimitri is definitely a bit of an oversized lap dog, and will climb into an available lap any chance he gets. He’s even willing to roll over and have his belly rubbed while you hold him. Dimitri is pretty flashy and we often call him our “miniature Border Collie,” which is exactly what he looks like.
He’s used to being spoiled by his human companions and enjoys treats for training. His newest treat-motivated trick: jumping through the hoop! This 2-year-old boy is just starting to show off his skills, and his spark for life and can-do attitude has made him a quick staff favorite. Come by and meet him today!
