Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of Dec. 21: Nuzzie
There are few dogs as tolerant as Nuzzie. She’ll still give you a smile when you stick silly sunglasses on her face or dress her up in handkerchiefs and hats. This sweet girl particularly enjoys kids and is very relaxed and gentle.
Nuzzie is approximately 6 or 7 years young and looks to be a blend of shepherd, hound and maybe pit bull — whatever the mix, she’s adorable!
When it comes to potty training, Nuzzie prefers to use the outdoor portion of her pen or will wait until she’s outside in the yard. Need company? Nuzzie will gladly help you with that — she loves to hang out with people. When it comes to hanging out with other animals, though, Nuzzie would prefer to be the only pet in her home. She wants all human attention on her!
Nuzzie is coming up on her two-year anniversary at Miss Winkles, and though she is a staff favorite, she is hoping to spend the holidays with a family of her own. Come by and meet her today.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped. Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
Note that the Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
