More than 1,000 performers from Clovis Unified’s intermediate and high school bands and color guards showcased their moves and sounds in Veterans Memorial Stadium on Nov. 18.

The high school bands gathered on the field to play the national anthem in unison to kick off the ninth annual Clovis Unified Band Day, followed by individual performances by the intermediate bands. The high school bands then took to the field to perform their competitive field show pieces in front of a packed stadium.

“It is a privilege to see how unique each one of our CUSD band programs are yet they all strive for excellence in musical performance and education,” said David Lesser, Clovis North Educational Center’s director of bands.“The stands are always packed and there is a great spirit of camaraderie. It is one of the largest crowds our students perform in front of all year long.”
