Retirement of SMSgt. William Ferreira

Senior Master Sergeant William “Billy” Ferreira retired from the California Air National Guard after serving in the U.S. military for 34 years. Ferreira, a Clovis resident, joined the Navy in 1981, and then joined the Air National Guard in 1984. He has worked on F-4, F-16 and F-15 fighter aircraft. He served for the past 30 years in the 144th Fighter Wing stationed at the Fresno Air National Guard Base. Family, friends and coworkers gathered Oct. 9 in Clovis Veterans Memorial District to celebrate Ferreira’s career.
