Arson blamed for fire at southeast Fresno ice cream shop
A fire that caused about $150,000 in damage Monday night to a Frostee Freeze in southeast Fresno was intentionally set, fire officials said Tuesday.
Fire crews went to the store at Kings Canyon Road and Clovis Avenue about 9:30 p.m, said Fresno fire spokesman Koby Johns.
The store was already closed when the fire ignited, with an employee inside. Johns said the employee reported that a man broke into the building and lit the interior on fire before running away.
Firefighters are working with police to find the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
