Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of Dec. 5: Heidi

Heidi

Hello gorgeous! That’s what we say to this zesty, 4-year-old German Shepherd when she goes out for her walks in the morning. Her name is Heidi, and she’s a spritely gal with good energy and a love of people. The best thing about Heidi is how much she enjoys children. She has met many kids here at Miss Winkles and she absolutely lights up when they come to visit her. A big family is just what Heidi ordered for herself!

Heidi is housetrained and has some basic commands such as “sit” and “down,” and she likes to play with other dogs, too. She’s the kind of gal who plays with a no-holds-barred mentality and she wears herself out in puppy playgroup with all her great wrestling moves. She does like to talk a little bit to her friends and makes some silly sounds when she plays.

Did we mention Heidi only has one eye? What this silly girl lost in a car accident a few years ago doesn’t seem to faze her in the least, and doesn’t hold her back from being your best friend, galloping around a yard, or playing with her furry friends of all sizes!

Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.

Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

Note: the Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
