Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of Nov. 28: Louise
Are you ready to play? Louise, the eight-month-old Domestic Shorthair, is always ready to chase a thrown ball or mouse-toy around in our community cat room. She can’t help herself, it’s just so much fun! We really do get a kick out of watching this striped feline bouncing off of ledges and cat trees to chase string.
Louise does seem to enjoy being with the other kitties, in particular, her twin sister, Thelma. It can take her a few days to warm up to new kitties when they arrive, but she does eventually decide that friends are all right, and particularly likes playful fur buddies. Louise and her sister are not so fond of dogs, so they are looking for kitty-only homes where they can run about and snuggle up to their hearts’ content.
As much as she likes to play, this little kitten also knows how to purr and get her hugs too. She can be a real lap-cat, and has been a favorite for visitors here at Miss Winkles. She does love when she can get someone to sit in a chair and pet her for a long while at the end of a good play session.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
Note: The Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
