Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of Oct. 17: Kandi
Whiskers and all, this little kitty gets her nose into everything! Kandi is her name and she is about 2 years old. Her fur is so soft, it’s like hugging a fluffy pillow when you snuggle her. She’s a silver tortoiseshell with glitzy green eyes that just beg for you to pay attention to her. We particularly like her little orange “eyebrows.” Kandi currently lives, and is thriving, in our community cat room. She likes to play with guests, but particularly enjoys coming out of her kitty tree for some petting; she will just beg to get noticed.
This little domestic medium hair does OK with the other kitties in her room, but we have found that she doesn’t like canine friends, so she’s looking for a kitty-only household to call her own. It did take her a while to get used to other kitties stopping by and invading her “home,” which is a little kitty tree in the community room, but she adapted well and has learned that other kitties can be just fine — and even fun sometimes.
Kids are OK with her, too, and she will play for a while or find a place to take a break and enjoy a nap when she’s all done. Come meet this snuggliest of furry friends; she’s a little heart-stealer for anyone who looks her way.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
Adoption fees are $25 for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
Note: the Pet of the Week may no longer be available after press time, but plenty of other adoptable pets are. Visit clovisanimalservices.org/miss-winkles for more information.
