Miss Winkles Pet of the Week of Oct. 3: Rudder
He’s a short little guy, but that’s not how Rudder sees himself. This terrier mix thinks he’s as big as they come. He’s about 10 years old, and he sure enjoys when he gets some petting. In fact, most of the time, all he wants is to be in someone’s lap getting love. His favorite part is having his cute little bum scratched!
But Rudder is not into sharing his little kingdom with dogs bigger than himself. He doesn’t mind having some feline friends, though, and he sometimes finds some lady dogs his size that he likes to hang out with.
Rudder wouldn’t mind some occasional walks and his idea of the ideal day is relaxing with his family and soaking up the love and affection. He can be a little bit of a talker, so don’t be surprised if you get his opinion on what you’re doing. Rudder has shown a good tolerance for young children, and wouldn’t mind having some little-footed humans running about his new home as well. If what you’re into is a senior pup with a smiling face, sunny disposition and a relaxed personality, Rudder may just be the one to look at to share your home.
Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 85 Temperance Ave. just south of Sierra Avenue. All adoptable pets have been spayed or neutered, are current on their vaccinations and microchipped.
