Explosions reported in central Fresno house fire

Fresno firefighters responded to reports of explosions at a residential fire Thursday evening.

A fire in central Fresno on the 1800 block of Princeton Avenue, was reported around 5:28 p.m. Thursday. There were reports of an explosion, said Fresno Fire Department spokesman Hector Vasquez.

Downed power lines in the back yard became a challenge for firefighters, Vasquez said.

Four adults and one child were displaced by the fire, the cause of which is under investigation.
