Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging seeking advisory council members

The Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging is seeking advisory council members that represent the diversity of the area’s older adult population.

The council members must stay informed and provide input on issues that affect older residents in their communities. They must gather information of the needs and priorities of older adults by conducting public hearings and get annual updates for the agency’s four-year plan.

There are 21 seats on the advisory council with Fresno County, Madera County and Fresno city each represented by seven.

Applications will be available at the next meeting, which will be held at 3837 North Clark St. in Fresno on Sept. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
