Man dies after car hits concrete post near Dinuba

An Orange Cove man is dead after the car he was driving hit a concrete post near Dinuba, the California Highway Patrol said.

Just before midnight Saturday, the 35-year-old was driving east on Avenue 424 west of Road 100 when he veered his Chevrolet to the left and collided with a concrete post. He sustained major injuries and died at the scene.

CHP said it is unknown at this time if drugs, alcohol or speeding were factors in the crash.
