Fresno County emergency assistance program receives federal funds
The Fresno County Emergency Food and Shelter Program has received $758,023 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to support the program’s mission to assist local organizations that help people in need of emergency assistance, spokesman Stephen Montes said.
The EFSP has provided funding to the following organizations for its latest phase: Community Food Bank, $275,920.37; Catholic Charities, $185,715.64; Salvation Army, $185,715.64; Poverello House, $69,738.12; United Way Fresno and Madera Counties, $15,160.46; Marjaree Mason Center, $14,402.44; Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission Sanctuary, $9,096.28; and Hope Lutheran Church, $2,274.07.
