Body found with trauma in Sanger canal is identified

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the body of a man found in a canal near Newmark and North avenues in Sanger as Randy Cox, 49, of Sanger.

A passerby on a bicycle discovered the body on June 26. Because of trauma found on the body, officers are treating Cox’s death as suspicious.
