The Intellectual Renaissance Foundation is collecting William Saroyan memorabilia to store and preserve in the famed author’s central Fresno house, which will become a museum honoring his work.

The foundation, based in Yerevan, Armenia, bought Saroyan’s house at 2729 W. Griffith Way in 2015. It plans to turn the 1,228-square-foot home into a house-museum and cultural center for Armenians worldwide to learn about Saroyan’s life and to hold events dedicated to the writer.

The following items are requested: pictures and videos of Saroyan’s Fresno and Paris homes; books signed by Saroyan, his diaries, personal papers, contracts, fan mail and first editions of his works; letters, manuscripts, notes, paintings and drawings; Saroyan’s furniture and personal belongings.

Anyone willing to donate these items can email info@irf.am or call 011-374-41440334.
