3 hospitalized after crash near Fresno airport

Three people were taken to the hospital with injuries suffered in a two-car crash Monday night at Shields and Clovis avenues, near Fresno Yosemite International airport in east-central Fresno.

Fresno police officer Sean Loy said one of the cars was driving north on Clovis Avenue, and the other was eastbound on Shields Avenue when the crash occurred around 8:20 p.m. Three of the four people involved in the collision were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries, Loy said.

No other details were immediately available.
