Caliber launches summer food drive to help feed Valley kids

Caliber Collision is accepting cash and food donations for its fifth annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive to help kids get meals during the summer. Caliber Collision is setting up four locations in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera. The drive is accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations through June 24.

According to Feeding America, inadequate nutrition can change the way a child’s brain develops and affect learning. Chronic illness is also higher among children who suffer from hunger.

“We need to double our efforts to restore the rhythm of regular meals for children who depend of school lunches, so they can continue to receive the nutrition they need for the summer months,” said Steve Grimshaw, chief executive officer of Caliber Collision.

Perishable items, open or glass containers cannot be accepted.

Food drive drop-off locations in Fresno are 125 E. Auto Center Drive, , and 6899 N. Milburn Ave.; in Clovis at 982 Barstow Ave., ; and in Madera at 404 S. Gateway Drive.
