Highway 41 crash in Madera County causes delays Sunday

A crash in Madera County caused delays with road blockage as vehicles had to be cleared from Highway 41 on Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident, which was reported as a head-on collision, happened around 1:30 p.m. at Road 206 and Highway 41.

The crash resulted in minor injuries only, but it caused partial and total closures of the roadway for nearly two hours while vehicles were towed.

Traffic reopened at 3:20 p.m., CHP said.
