Walk with a doc at River Park and learn about stroke prevention

Kaiser Permanente-Fresno is offering free blood pressure checks, information about stroke warning signs and a brisk walk around River Park Shopping Center from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday.

The event, in collaboration with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, will include a walk with Dr. Jesus Rodriguez from 1-2 p.m. Participants should meet at the River Park Shopping Center, Blackstone and Nees avenues, on the grassy area between Teazer World Tea Market and Yoshino’s.

Participants will learn about stroke, which is the fifth-leading cause of death in the United States.
