Clovis West ramps up security after finding graffiti threat
Clovis West High School is planning stepped-up police presence Wednesday after threatening graffiti was found Tuesday in a girl’s restroom on campus, Clovis Unified spokeswoman Kelly Avants said.
The graffiti was discovered in the girl’s restroom Tuesday afternoon near the school’s East Gym. The graffiti said: “I will kill everyone in this school tomorrow at noon. I hate you all. Better find me before its too late.”
When authorities were notified of the threat, they began investigating immediately, Avants said. At this point they do not believe that a credible threat exists to the school. Classes will resume as normal with an increased presence on campus from Fresno police and Clovis Unified police to support the investigation.
Anyone with information about the threat is asked to contact the Fresno Police Department.
Last week, a student at La Sierra Military Academy in Visalia was arrested after allegedly making threats about a school shooting on social media. Last September, San Joaquin Memorial High canceled classes after a sophomore allegedly posted Eminem lyrics from his Instagram account referencing a bloody school massacre.
