Clovis home damaged by fire called ‘total loss’
A house in Clovis is being called a total loss after a fire broke out in the attic and burned through much of the home on Sunday, the Clovis Fire Department said.
The fire broke out at 3:25 p.m. in a house on Hampton Way near Armstrong Avenue.
A fire alarm in the home alerted occupants who were able to escape uninjured. Firefighters were able to save a dog inside, Deputy Fire Chief John Binaski said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Binaski said the house was valued at around $400,000.
