Woman killed in Visalia crash after pickup overturns

A Visalia woman was killed Saturday morning in Visalia after her pickup left the roadway, overturned at least twice and was engulfed in flames, the California Highway Patrol said.

The 27-year-old driver, whose identity was withheld pending notification of kin, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado west on Avenue 360 near Road 44 around 8:30 a.m., the CHP said. The pickup drifted onto the dirt shoulder and overturned, throwing the driver out of the truck and killing her.

The pickup was engulfed in flames after the collision, the CHP said.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the collision, the CHP said.
