Final tally released for Measure H in Visalia
The Tulare County Elections Division has released final vote totals for the Measure H hospital bond special election.
Measure H was a proposed $327 million bond by Kaweah Delta Health Care District to build a new acute care hospital in Visalia.
The vote total was 42.91% yes and 57.09% no. A two-thirds yes vote was required for passage.
The vote total was 8,841 yes and 11,762 no.
Turnout was 36%.
The tally is nearly identical to the preliminary vote count on the evening of May 3, the final day of the mail-in election.
Hospital officials said they expect to propose another bond measure. The health care district includes Visalia, Ivanhoe and Goshen.
