Delano motorcyclist killed in solo Kern County crash
A man from Delano riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle died Monday night after striking a utility pole’s support wire in Kern County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred on Highway 155, the Garces Highway, at Browning Road about 9:40 p.m. The identity of the 28-year-old rider has not been released. Alcohol may be a factor in the collision, the CHP reported.
The rider was eastbound on Highway 155 when he drifted to the right, went across a dirt roadway shoulder and hit the wire. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the shoulder.
He was taken to Kern Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
