Police investigating possible accidental shooting in southeast Fresno
A teenager is in critical condition after a possible accidental shooting in southeast Fresno, police said.
Fresno Police said officers were dispatched around 5:05 p.m. to the 400 block of North Manila Avenue at Madison Avenue for a call of a shooting victim.
When they arrived, police found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.
The boy was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where he is currently listed in critical condition.
Police said the suspect who fired the shot left the scene before they arrived but is described as a Hispanic male also in his teens.
Police don’t know if the shooting was an accident and investigators are treating it as crime. Police said it may be downgraded at a later time.
