Madera lottery winner gets 5 numbers right, misses Mega number

Somebody in the Valley is not quite a Mega millionaire but will reap a pretty big jackpot after buying a $1 lottery ticket that matched five of the six numbers in the Mega Millions game on Friday, the California Lottery announced Saturday.

The winning numbers were 14, 26, 27, 32 and 36, and the Mega number was 7. The jackpot for matching all six numbers was $138 million.

A ticket that matched five numbers but not the Mega number was sold at Six Star Food Mart, 1501 E. Yosemite Ave., Madera. The prize for the ticket sold in Madera is $822,380, the lottery said.

The winner can claim the prize at any of the lottery’s nine district office locations, including the Fresno office at 750 W. Pinedale Ave. Office hours are 8 .m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
