Fatal crash on I-5 reported near Huron
The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed at least one person on Interstate 5 near the Highway 198 connector ramp in western Fresno County.
The CHP’s incident report website noted that a big-rig truck hit two vehicles stopped near construction on Interstate 5 just before 11 a.m. Friday. One vehicle fell down an embankment.
Early reports said that four or five people were hurt. At 11:43 a.m., the CHP called for the Fresno County Coroner and noted there had been at least one fatality.
No one at the CHP office in Coalinga was immediately available for comment.
