MADD honors 20 Fresno police officers for impaired-driving arrests

Twenty Fresno police officers were recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for being best in the region for arresting impaired drivers in 2015, the Fresno Police Department said.

Recognition went to officers were from Kern, Kings, Fresno and Madera counties. The California Highway Patrol, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and police departments were included.

The two officers in the region who arrested the most DUI drivers were from the Fresno Police Department. Robert Esquibel tallied the most DUI arrests, at 215. Jason Hurley arrested 201 impaired drivers.
