The Visalia-based nonprofit Living Water World Missions is asking for donations to purchase water bottles to help those devastated by the April 16 earthquake in Ecuador.

Clean drinking water is in short supply now in Pedernales, one of the cities hit hardest by the earthquake, the worst natural disaster in Ecuador since 1949.

Living Water World Missions says it was asked by the government of Ecuador to build two clean drinking water systems in Pedernales to provide emergency drinking water to residents, and is sending a team from Visalia on May 19 to build and install the systems.

Living Water is asking for cash donations to purchase water bottles that will be used to distribute the clean drinking water. Donations can be mailed to: Living Water World Missions, PO Box 7509, Visalia CA 93290.
