Big rig crash closes southbound Highway 41 at Highway 99 during commute
Southbound Highway 41 where it connects with Highway 99 was closed for about five hours early Wednesday following a big rig crash, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The tractor-trailer jackknifed on the highway, according to the CHP website, which first reported the crash at 4:18 a.m. No serious injuries were reported.
It took several hours to clean up around the crash. The highway was reopened about 9 a.m.
Many motorists took the CHP’s advice and used Highway 180 to get from Highway 41 to Highway 99.
