A 25-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning in a one-car crash on North West Avenue north of Sierra Avenue, Fresno police reported.

Lt. Joe Gomez said the crash was discovered by a Fresno Bee delivery person who spotted a badly damaged car as he was making his rounds sometime before 4 a.m.

Police determined that the man was driving north on West at an unknown rate of speed when he lost control, struck two large trees and then a light stand near Howard Holman Neighborhood Park.

The man was identified Tuesday afternoon as Shaquil Kelly-Hutson of Fresno.
