A 25-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Friday morning after the Fresno FAX bus that she was riding on collided with a minivan in southeast Fresno, police reported.
The crash took place on Chestnut Avenue north of Butler Avenue. The 27-year-old driver of the minivan told officers that he had worked through the night and fell asleep at the wheel shortly before he hit the back of the bus.
The woman had pains in her neck and shoulder that required hospitalization. No other passengers were hurt.
Police said the minivan driver, who was at fault, was also cited for driving without a license.
