2 power outages leave Fresno neighborhoods in the dark
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. crews are dealing with two power outages Tuesday in parts of Fresno affecting more than 300 customers.
The first is in the Pinedale neighborhood. A car struck a switching device for underground equipment around 2 a.m., said PG&E spokesman Denny Boyle. About 40 customers were affected. The car sped off in what is a hit-and-run incident. Full power is not expected back until 4 p.m.
The second outage is in a larger area – from Cedar to Highway 41, between Olive and Tulare Streets. About 296 customers are without power. The outage began at 10:21 a.m., Boyle said.
