Parlier heralds grand opening of school-based health center
A healthcare provider is holding a grand opening Friday of a health center on the grounds of a Parlier elementary school.
United Health Centers will officially open the doors to its health center on the grounds of Mathew J. Brletic Elementary School, located on 601 Third St., at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, spokesman David Phillips said. The ceremony includes the singing of the national anthem, entertainment and refreshments alongside health, nutrition and enrollment information.
The health center, which opened in January, is a 900-square-foot facility designed with medical exam rooms and a behavioral health office in a state-of-the-art healthcare environment, Phillips said. The facility is the second school-based health center for the United Health Centers and has public access alongside an entrance for students and school staff.
