Potential relocation of Fresno-Barton Post Office to be discussed

A public meeting will be held April 27 in Fresno to discuss the potential relocation of retail services at the Fresno-Barton Station Post Office to the Fresno-Cedar Station Post Office.

There would be no effect on delivery operations or mail service.

At the meeting, postal representatives will discuss the reasons for the relocation, identify proposed relocation sites, describe the anticipated size of the retail service facility as well as services to be offered at the new location.

Written comments can also be submitted through May 27 to Dean Cameron, Facilities Headquarters-Pacific Area, U.S. Postal Service, 1300 Evans Ave., Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94188-8200.

The meeting starts at 10 a.m. at 4475 E. Tulare St. in Fresno.
