Big crowds jam Old Town Clovis for Big Hat Days

Thousands of visitors converged on Old Town Clovis on Sunday for the final day of Big Hat Days, the annual Clovis Chamber of Commerce event that is billed as the largest two-day festival in Central California.

More than 140,000 visitors were expected to fill the streets of Old Town to enjoy hundreds of craft and food booths on a weekend that saw mostly sunny skies and temperatures climb into the 80s.

This year’s event is the 77th annual Big Hat Days, and organizers added an extra city block this year. Big Hat Days kicks off Western Heritage Month in Clovis.
