Madera increases watering days to 2 a week

Madera has increased watering days from one day per week to two.

The city had been at one day per week since Nov. 18, 2015.

Watering is not allowed from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and even-numbered addresses can water on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The city continues to offer rebates for timers, turf replacement and other water saving devices; information is available on the city’s public works website.

The new watering days are effective through Oct. 31.

For questions on water regulations, or to report abuses, residents can call 559-661-5466 weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 559-230-7467 at any other time.
