Adam McEwen named Madera County deputy of the year
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has selected Detective Adam McEwen as its 2016 deputy of the year.
McEwen was honored at a Madera Kiwanis Club meeting on Thursday for Madera County law enforcement agencies’ officers of the year. He was nominated by his fellow deputies.
McEwen is the Ag crimes detective for the sheriff’s office. He was hired in 2002 as a patrol deputy and was promoted to field training officer before rising to detective.
Adam is the son of Fresno Bee Editorial Page Editor Bill McEwen.
