Anticipating a large number of visitors, Woodward and Roeding parks will maintain extended hours on Easter Sunday, March 27, but will also raise the vehicle entrance fee, the city of Fresno said.

The entrances to each park will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the entry fee will be $7 per vehicle at both parks. The parks are normally open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the entrance fee is normally $5 per vehicle. Entrance to the parks may be intermittently closed Sunday based on parking availability.

The parks are heavily used during Easter Sunday each year and the Parks, Recreation and Community Services division said that visitors should expect traffic flow, parking and picnic areas around the Belmont Avenue will be affected due to the Chaffee Zoo expansion.

The city of Fresno and Fresno Police Department ask that park guests use the minimum number of vehicles to visit the park.
