Fresno Chaffee Zoo accredited by international zoo association
Fresno Chaffee Zoo has earned its accreditation from The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) for the 26th consecutive year, the zoo announced.
AZA-accredited zoos are required to go through a review process each year, which includes multiple days of on-site inspections by a team of experts from around the country. Animal care, keeper training, guest and animal safety, veterinary services and other factors are reviewed in the accreditation process.
The zoo first earned its accreditation in 1979.
