Jazz Ambassadors swing through jazz history in Easton

The U.S. Army’s touring big band, The Jazz Ambassadors, is making a stop in the Fresno area during its West Coast tour Wednesday night at Easton’s Washington Union High School.

The band, a component of the U.S. Army Field Band, aims to cover the history of jazz from its beginnings to the modern era, on top of patriotic selections and original compositions during its concert, said Sgt. 1st Class Joshua Johnson, Army spokesman.

Their performance begins at 7 p.m. inside the high school’s auditorium on 6041 S. Elm Ave.
