Tulare Union to celebrate its Super Bowl-winning alumnus with Virgil Green Day

Virgil Green, the Tulare Union High School graduate who is a tight end for the Super Bowl-champion Denver Broncos, will be honored Friday by his alma mater when it declares “Virgil Green Day.”

Green, a 2006 alumnus of Tulare Union, has played in two Super Bowls in the last three years.

To celebrate his accomplishments, a parade will begin at 2:15 p.m. Friday at Tulare City Hall and will travel to the high school, where an all-school rally will start at 2:45 p.m.

The campus is located at 755 E. Tulare Ave.
