Fresno police investigate marijuana operation after fire
Fresno police reported the discovery of a marijuana growing operation after firefighters responded to a blaze at a home in the 3200 block of East Olive Avenue Monday morning.
The fire was reported about 10:17 a.m. Lt. Joe Gomez said that once the blaze was extinguished, firefighters discovered candles that may have caused it. The candles were part of a shrine in a bedroom. Police were call in after about 100 plants were discovered throughout the house and in plots outside. Detectives are investigating.
