Ani-Me Con 5.0 returns to Fresno with mix of anime, gaming, sci-fi

Fans of Japanese animation and pop culture, many costumed like their favorite characters, gathered Saturday at the Fresno Fairgrounds for Ani-Me Con 5.0.

The convention, billed as the largest anime convention in the Central Valley, featured over 100 vendors, artists, exhibitors and fan clubs, plus trading card and video gaming tournaments.

The convention continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds, 1121 S. Chance Ave. Tickets are $8.
