Several intersections and streets in Clovis will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday during the Big Hat Half Marathon, Clovis police said.
The run starts and ends in Old Town Clovis near the intersection of Third Street and Clovis Avenue. Runners will begin running north on Clovis Avenue until they reach Shepherd Avenue.
From there, runners go east on Shepherd to Highway 168, down to the old Tollhouse Road and passing Clovis Community Hospital and Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center. The route will eventually lead runners west on Sierra Avenue and back to Clovis Avenue and Third Street.
Intersections and streets will be closed to traffic at times for the runners’ safety.
A map of the route can be seen on the Clovis Police Department’s Facebook page.
Clovis police recommend taking road closures into account when planning any sort of travel within Clovis.
