Fresno ties record heat mark; rain, snow expected to return
Fresno tied a record high temperature Thursday when the thermometer reached 73 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
That tied the mark also set in 1925, the NWS said.
Dry weather will continue through the weekend, though the days will cool slightly and clouds could stream overhead Saturday as a weak storm front rolls by. Unseasonably warm temperatures return Monday and Tuesday, but give way the next chance for a storm on Wednesday.
Forecasters are not sure yet how much rain and snow might fall, but think a good amount could whiten the Sierra Nevada.
